Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman, amazing design, 3.2 inch TFT screen, 1Ghz processor, 512 MB of RAM,a VGA camera on front, a primary 5MP camera with flash and HD recording at 720p,brand name Walkman, stereo speakers, featuring xLOUD enhancement and boasting an Adreno 205 GPU, you are certainly in for a treat with this phone,if you keep the USB cable nearby.

The only drawback with this amazing phone is the battery and the display. The spec sheet states the battery capacity at 1200 mAh, although our review model only had 1160 mAh . The display is a bit disappointing, drains a lot of battery, and is not too bright either, i could read a pdf in bright sunlight when i adjusted the brightness setting to about  a fourth of maximum. All in all, the screen brightness is good enough for a usual user, although enthusiasts might find it a bummer.
The other drawback  being the battery performance, which is below average, on a single charge the phone can just barely get through about 12-14 hours on a moderate to heavy use which included about an hour of music, about two hours of surfing on WiFi, half an hour of calling and half an hour of playing games[fruit slice and angry birds]. Packet data remained ON for about half of the time.[WhatsApp and ChatOn were the services accessing packet data]
Although the battery life improved after updating the phone with latest build, still it remains a drawback to the phone.

Coming to the brighter side of this amazing phone, it is a great phone with crisp, clear and xLOUD music, maintaining the brand Walkman. It features android gingerbread[2.3.4], and is promised an ICS [Ice cream sandwich android 4.0] by the end of April 2012. No lag observed as yet, no instance of hanging of the phone.

Walkman sports a nice 5 MP camera, with LED flash, very intuitive camera, has auto focus,  it can record HD videos at 720p, which are usable but not too great.

It is being sold in Indian markets at a price tag of around Rs 14,000[$275].

Verdict: For a mid range phone, it is a good buy, although if one can wait for Samsung Ace 2 or Ace plus, it would be wiser to buy them, as they promise to be better phones than this one in the area of screen and battery related issues. All in all, i own this phone and am a happy buyer and would surely recommend this phone to a friend who happened to be a little tight on budget.
