A tech-crazy news is flowing in the Indian Tech baazar. India debuted with a very low cost tablet “Aakash” on the market at the sale price of Rs 2500(about 50$).

This Tech-gadget has the configuration as follows:

You can now order this Tablet here: http://www.ubislate.com/prebook.html

As per the updated news there is a delay of 1 month, so sale starts in mid Jan 2012.

Also, there is another product launching in the end of January 2012, named Ubislate 7+(The Updated Version of Aakash).

Ubislate is the upgraded version so it has upgraded specifications both in terms of hardware and software. Given below, the configurations of Aakash and Ubislate 7+.

Aakash and Ubislate 7+ Compared.

My Opinion : As there is a delay in the sale of Aakash (Ubislate 7), Go for Ubislate7+ because

  • It has a Cortex A8-700 Mhz Microprocessor which gives you double the speed of  Aakash.
  • It has 3200 mAh battery which gives you around 3-4 hrs battery backup  and Aakash 2100mAh battery gives only 2 hrs backup life.
  • It has the upgraded Andriod 2.3(Gingerbread) Operating System while Aakash has Andriod 2.2(Froyo).

TAlking of Network capabilities Aakash only supports WiFi while Ubislate 7+ supports WiFi, GPRS (SIM & Phone functionality).

Good luck, with your shopping!
