What if you had a device that could read input from your brain? Well, now you have one.

The Emotiv EPOC headset being offered by Emotiv Systems is one such device. It reads your brainwaves and gives command to the machine connected accordingly.

The technology is more or less still in its infancy but it is already being used in many places.

This headset works on the phenomenon of your brain working on electric waves of variable frequency. It reads those frequencies using the same technique as EEG does. It then goes on to use a specialized algorithm to convert the brainwaves into a command for the computer program, which does the action you have been imagining.
