Fun Fact Post : Human Brain works on Electricity Produced by Itself!

Human brain is an amazing bio-machine as has been explained before through the post Human Brain:The Impeccable Computer.Today in this fun fact post, I’ll tell you a little about the human brain, how it works on electricity that is produced by itself.

The brain is an electro-chemical machine, it is made up of billions of neurons. The neurons communicate by firing a chemical to the tail of the next neuron, this transfer of chemical causes a change in charge on the neurons and small amount of electricity is produced.

Now imagine a few million neurons firing the chemical to a few million neurons, it will produce a significant amount of electricity through those impulses. Now depending upon your state of mind the frequency of these electrical impulses is different.

We can measure these frequencies using EEG. These frequencies if interpreted properly can tell what is your state of mind and sometimes even the thoughts you are imagining. This is the concept used by Emotiv EPOC: The headset that reads your brainwaves.

Now these brainwaves or electrical impulses have various band of frequencies associated with different states of mind.

These bands are namely Alpha, Beta, Gamma and Delta. These are explained in the image below!

Now, why the hell are we talking about Human Brain on an IT website?

Yeah, there’s got to be a tech-connection, soon I am going to show you how you can alter your brainwaves using your own computer, this technology although experimental, I believe works. I have tried it and have gotten results with it. You could just sit down on your computer put on your headphones and poof! Soon, all stress would fly away.
